NABL Registration
NABL is the Constituent Board of Quality Council of India. The aim behind NABL establishment is to give the government, associate’s of industries and generally industries a scheme for Conformity Assessment Body’s Accreditation that involves third-party technical competence assessment of testing for Calibration and medical labs, referred productive material and proficiency test providers.
The accreditation offered by NABL is a non-discrimination certification. The accreditation offered by NABL is developed in accordance to ISO/IEC 17011:2017. NABL is signatory to ILAC as well as APLAC Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRA) for accreditation of Testing including Medical and Calibration laboratories.
The labs that want to access accreditation accordance to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for their testing and laboratory facility and ISO 15189:2007 for medical labs, need to follow the below guidelines.
To be assessed you need a quality manual clarifying the quality system is maintaining the requirements as per the clauses stated in ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 15189 standard. These quality system documents and it’s implementing process will be scrutinized by the NABL assessors to see if they meet the ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 15189 standards. The testing or lab facility has to show case the NABL team they are meeting all the specific criteria, guidelines, requirements and standards given by ISO/IEC 17025/ISO 15189.

NABH Registration
NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) certification is a prestigious accreditation granted to healthcare organizations that meet the rigorous quality standards set by the NABH. It signifies that the healthcare facility adheres to internationally recognized benchmarks in patient care, management, and safety.

QCI Inspection
QCI has a well defined procedure for Hospital and clinic empanelment. QCI Inspection is a certification awarded by the Quality Council of India (QCI). It is a voluntary certification process that evaluates a business or organization against a set of standards. The standards are based on international best practices and are designed to ensure that the business or organization is providing quality products and services. The certification process is rigorous and requires businesses and organizations to meet a range of criteria including safety, quality, and environmental requirements. The certification process is designed to ensure that businesses and organizations are delivering products and services that meet the highest standards of quality.
The Quality Council of India, an autonomous body set up by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India jointly with the Indian Industry represented by the three premier industry associations i.e. Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), to establish and operate national accreditation structure and promote quality through National Quality Campaign.
Quality Council of India (QCI) is registered as a non-profit society with its own Memorandum of Association and is governed by a Council with equal representations of government, industry and consumers. The Council plays a pivotal role at the national level in propagating, adoption and adherence to quality standards in all important spheres of activities including education, healthcare, environment protection, governance, social sectors, infrastructure sector and such other areas of organized activities that have significant bearing in improving the quality of life and wellbeing of the citizens of India.

ECHS Empanelment
The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is a healthcare program for Indian ex-servicemen and their dependents. ECHS empanelment refers to the process of getting approved and listed as a healthcare provider in the ECHS network. This allows hospitals and medical institutions to provide medical services to ECHS beneficiaries, who are entitled to a wide range of healthcare benefits under the scheme.
CGHS
CGHS scheme is a health care scheme that has been formulated by the Central government for providing complete medical care to its employees and also to the pensioners. But both the “Central government employees and the pensioners” are required to register themselves under the scheme.
The main objective of CGHS is to make sure that all the central government employees and pensioners registered under it, receive quality health care. And to make sure that it happens, CGHS has signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the QCI for a comprehensive evaluation of hospitals under the CGHS scheme.
The detailed application format which is mentioned for empanelment under the CGHS scheme is the basis for the NABH-QCI empanelment program. When NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) & QCI (Quality Council of India) has done a complete evaluation of a hospital, it will provide its findings to the CGHS and also publish the findings on the website The evaluation of the hospitals has to be done according to the criteria formulated for the empanelment of hospitals, which is in accordance with the CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme).
